perfect base for exploring parks and local attractions
During my stay, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, while the breakfast was freshly cooked to order, making mornings good as I prepared for a day of strolling through nearby parks and attractions that were all within easy walking distance, like Bathurst Park just down the street and the charming Forest of Dean Model Village, only a bit over one kilometer away.

Everything seemed really good, clean. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of exceptional cereals, toast and jam. This accommodation had a very central setting down at the pub. Further, it was so close to the Dean Forest Railway, the Forest of Dean and taxis.

The staff were super friendly. Breakast was amazing, like really filling, had a full english and it was yum! The heating in the room was great too, kept me warm all night. The location is good, close to other places to explore. Overall a lovely stay!
It was a bit hot at night since there's no air con in the old building. The bar below was kinda noisy at times.

Really good breakfast options and engaging social space.
My bed was uncomfortable, leading to poor sleep. I also found road noise quite bothersome . The bathroom being across the landing was an awkward setup, especially during the night.

The staff demonstrated really good friendliness and attentiveness. Breakfast was a highlight, with extravagant options that left a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the steep and challenging stairs posed difficulties for those with mobility issues. The room's design lacked enough privacy due to the bathroom being located across the landing.
